09.22.08 | Rochelle Burnley I am a college student who just entered into my junior year. I have decided to "go natural," but instead of doing the "big chop," I am letting the relaxer grow out slowly. I am also a licensed cosmetologist, so professional products are at my hand; however, this "going natural" thing is new to me. What steps would you recommend me to take (I haven't had a relaxer since May). Also, do you know when you will be in the Hampton, Virginia area? If so, I would love to try an interlatch weave and to learn some new methods from you. Thank You so much....*Rochelle*

I have very thick and curly and bushy hair all in one. If you remember rudy off the Cosby show my hair is something like that. I have braids in now and I have not have a relaxer since May. I may relax my hair every 3-4 months and i on'y use a just for me. But I want to go natural but don't know how to begin. That is my question how do I begin or where? 06.12.08 | Jasmine Harvey Hello Ms. Mandisa,
My name is Jasmine Harvey. I am a college sophomore/junior and I finally decided to go natural last December. My choice---Not Anyone Else's!!! My mom hates it and convinced me to get a texturizer which considerably softened my hair, but it has been 5-6 month since and I wonder what I should do to my natural hair now. I am completely new to this natural concept and don't know what to do. Can you give me some tips? I have no money to spend on your services, but I might try you out if I had the chance. Any tips would be helpful. Oh and by the way I am from the SIP too!!!! I'm from the Mississippi Delta not too far from Greenwood---I live in Sunflower County.
Sincerely,
Missississippi Gurl aka Jasmine Harvey

05.01.08 | Jolene Hi-
I have locks and the person who maintains them now uses a crochet needle for maintenance and lock repair. I prefer this method to palmrolling but am looking for someone else to maintain my locks and was wondering what methods you use. I am based in Chicago and am looking for someone who uses the same or similar technique.
I look forward to your response.
Jolene
04.25.08 | fidelia evans I;ve just really strated to look at this new loc and twist business, I too am licensed Cosmetologist but have been out of the business for sometime. But recently my son of 15 is consumed with the dread so we have been twisting his hair now since Feb/08 the growth is wonderful, but they are not locing like I want them to. I've tried back comb and is has worked but I think I need to use something other then beeswax or twist and loc gel. Any suggestions?

03.21.08 | LaTanya Hi my name is LaTanya (tanya) and i'm LOVING your work from the pics i've seen. I'm natural myself and really don't know much to do with my hair besides the fro, two stsrand twist, or braids. I've been thinking about loc'in my hair but not sure if i should because i like to change up A LOT! I'm doing a little bit of modeling and for photoshoots i like different looks (weaves, wigs, etc.) so i'm not sure if loc's would be good fo€r me.
Ok i've said all that to say that i'm interested in the interlach weave (until i decide what i'm going to do to my hair for sure) and wanted to know when you'll be in the New Jersey/New York area? Maybe if you're in town i can get that done.
03.14.08 | Tanisha Mandisa,
Do you only do the styles mentioned on the site? I'm interested in going natural and I really like the look of locs. My hair is short and badly damaged from relaxers. Do you do loc extensions or is there anything else you might recommend. Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.
03.01.08 | Sharon Brooks I have locs that are thinning at the crown of my head. What do I need to do in order to strengthen the roots so they don't break off? I live close to Philadelphia, Pa. Do you know of any salons that specialize in damaged locs and loc repair?
01.29.08 | LaShondra Jones HI, How you doing... I found your website through browsing someone's MySpace page online. What 1st caught my attention was the interlatch, i 4got the name that quick, forgive me... Are there like, visible tracks/ knots or whatever showing? I also saw in an issue of essence a weave that loks like actual locks, are u familiar with those? Also, the other thing is.. I'm from Greenwood, MS. My dad, Aunts, Cousins, and Grandma are still there. I'm also in chicago! It's not too often you here anyone mention Greenwood....
01.24.08 | Koy Hardy Greetings!
I'm looking for a professional, natural hair care salon specializing in dread styling - in The Bay, CALIFORNIA (i.e. Oakland, SF). You have a beautiful website. I thought you might have a great West Coast contact. Thank you very much.
01.17.08 | christen Hi,
I ran across your website while I was looking for different weaving options for ladies who want to keep their own hair natural. It looks like a great alternative to mocrobraids, which is how I currently wear my hair, that wont put too much stress on my hair. I saw a couple of your pictures of the interlatching and I wanted to know if the tight curly (straw set look) was only option for the hair you attach or if you use diffrent kinds of hair.
01.03.08 | Rhonda E. DeVore I love this site. Its come a long long way since 2006. Memphis is still in need of your services sister so let a siSTAR know when you come to the area again. I'll be here trying to get mine done.

11.15.07 | Deborah When I started going to Mandisa my hair was badly damaged from bleach, weave and all of the things we do to our hair. My plan was to wear the interlock until my hair became healthy again. That was 3 years ago and is it now long and healthy. However I still wear the interlock style because it is the hottest style around and it is easy to care for. I am by far the FINEST, SEXIEST woman in the world (with Dee Dee) with my big blond Mandisa hair. I highly recommend her as a hair stylest. I am sooo glad I met Mandisa!!!!
